The arrival into force of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) means that after 25th May 2018 KMi cannot continue hosting this website. It contains far too much personally-identifiable information and my department does not have the budget to contact all contributors to ascertain whether they wish their content to be removed. The terms of the act also prevent us from either handing a copy of the site to someone else to host or to even keep a backup.
webCEF enables the collaborative assessment of oral language proficiency through a web-based environment. As a language learner or language teacher you will be able to use this system to evaluate your own video and audio samples together with colleagues and peers across Europe.
In July 2011, the webCEF project was awarded the European Language Label. This was given to 21 projects out of 130 applications.
NOTE: the transcoding system is now working properly.
Although funding for the project has finished, this tool is still in regular use.
